MONGOLIA
Location
The location of Mongolia lays right in the center of the Asia. Right above China at the bottom of Russia. Around 46 degrees North and 105 degrees East of the Equator.
Size
Mongolia size is around 1.565 km² compare to the US which is 8,080,464 km². Mongolia is only around 16% or 1/6 of the US.
Terrain
Mongolia is a very mountainies area that has 3 mountain ranges inside the country. The three mountain ranges are the Haygayn Mt., Hentiyn Mt.and the Altay Mt. Most of the mountains are north of the equator and in the south is the Gobi desert,that then slowly became vast plains.Due to the glaciers it gets in the mountain is has many lakes and rivers. One river is the Hovsgol Nur that is on the border of the Russia Federation that is a lake that holds 70% of Mongolia fresh water.
